Alright so yes, I just witnessed the update right before my eyes tonight. Myspace is trying to be like Facebook, keyword here ‘trying’. Myspace tried to give the IM Chat program (like AIM) a go and it failed…now they have integrated a chat system similar to Facebook. Honestly, from my perspective, Myspace lost a lot of users to Facebook ages ago and this isn’t going to bring them back. I mean Myspace will always grasp the younger audience, since Facebook initially was meant for the +College audience, but Facebook just happens to be more versatile…and this is why they have more users.

Facebook is not only used as a tool for College students but: Businesses/Company’s, Writers, Artists, etc. The networking with Facebook is far more superior than Myspace, although I’ll give Myspace kudos for not messing with their original layout…unlike Facebook and the last 2 mask changes. I also give Myspace credit for their Music Player integration on profile pages and Music Artists pages…hopefully Facebook can integrate this in the future. Once the Music Player option is added to Facebook, it will go from ‘Myspace Trying to be like Facebook’ to ‘Myspace STOP Trying to be Like Facebook because You Can’t’.

Myspace Says: Yo I just integrated a chat system!
Facebook Says: I BEEN HAD A CHAT SYSTEM SON, GET BIGGGG!

-Welcome aboard & thanks for flying.
