The highly anticipated feature “Stay Gold – The Emerica Video” premiered on Tuesday, August 17 at the Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood, California. The premier was open to the public, but limited tickets were available. If you weren’t able to attend the premier or had no clue about the Emerica movement have no fear because on September 1st, the feature “Stay Gold” will be released to the public on DVD and iTunes. The new Recon system has a built in a GPS system which computes useful data for the display as you ride. Although more bulky than most goggles, the software package calculates real time speed, altitude, vertical drop, air time, temperature, etc. The heads up display is built into the side of the goggle and has a small screen mounted inside the goggle frame, at the bottom of your vision.This allows you to have clear vision while riding, yet a simple glance down will yield information. The goggles also allow you to connect to your computer after riding via a standard mini USB cable to download the information from your day.

The goggles cost $350 for regular lenses and $450 for polarized lenses. The ski goggles will be available October 2010.
